I hate being wrong

It’s true.  It drives me sort of nuts.

And yet I know that I need to be wrong a lot of the time if I’m going to get to right.  And not just to any “right” but to a right that’s new and better and different.

I bet I need to have less emotional reaction every time someone rightly points out that I’m wrong.

  1. I think about this topic a lot. For me, I don’t hate being wrong, and ironically I don’t love being right. What I hate is not understanding something. An undying will to understand (not to know) is, I think, the drive for truly creative work.
